anyone know how 2 get rid of boot rattle on an EF? my boot lid is absolutley *ucked. Underneth the carpet peice on the boot lid, there is a frame that is welded onto the boot skin, well heh the welds arnt dare anymore. ive tried cutting up peices of foam and rubber and jamming it inside there, but nothing seems 2 work.
anyone have an idea?

If the broken welds are causing the rattle, just get it re-tacked, shouldn't cost much.

Put a line of silicon between the frame and bootlid. That'll stop the rattles. Make sure it's the right type of silicon and can be used on metal. The factory "welds" as you have put them is just some expanding foam crap that comes off if there's even a hint of bass.
