Have just bought a 85 bronco , no oil leaks the paintwork &interior are in excellant condition. The tailgate has small bit of rust thats all.
The motor a 351clevland has been doneup and converted to run on LPG and petrol .
The steeringbox has a small bit of play in it (less than 25mm on the steering wheel). All the manuals show pictures of the box with a adjustment nut & grub screw on top .This box has not got any thing on top.
Did they use a different box in the right hand drives and how do you get the endplay out of the box ?

Problem solved !
Went to the local power steering & he showed us how.
1) centralize the steering wheel
2)remove the grubscrew ontop of the box with a 3/16 hexkey
3)with the front wheels perfectly strate you should be able to get to the adjusting screw with a 3/16 hexkey
4)turn the adjusting screw 1/2 a turn ANTICLOCKWISE to take out the freeplay.
5)replace grubscrew & test . Repeat ,until all the freeplay is out of the box.
