A/C hissing in cabin

Hey guys ,
Just yesterday i started to hear a very SOFT hissing sound that i worked out was coming from my A/C unit im my dash. It only happens when its on the coldest setting when the a/c is OFF. When i slightly increase the temp setting (still in blue zone , not quite in white zone - again when a/c is off) the sound goes away. But comes back at 1700rpm+.....wierd $hit....

As i said the sound is very soft but it has just stared. Another thing i noticed was that when increasing the air temp when A/C is on it no longer makes that Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound that it used to just the other day....

I suspect these 2 are related?

Re: A/C hissing in cabin

Ive got the same problem, its caused by a leak in a vacuum hose either at the back of the AC control unit or at the heater tap hose.

Re: A/C hissing in cabin

UPDATE:
Undid the hose clamp where the coolant was leaking under the car , cut the hose and did it back up again. Took it for a drive and i get back take a look under the car and there are drips of coolant on the sway bar and the road. I just dont know why its still leaking and why it still makes the noise.

Walkinshaw - whats the deal , all the porblems i have with my car you seem to have at the same time!!!!maby they left the factory together???
