Well Im looking at getting a cam pretty Soon in my EB 4lt (After the full exhaust) and im just wondering what cam people think is the best one to get (without computer Mods)

Crow Cams-
Part Number- 2222549
Power Range- 1100-4400rpm
Comments- Medium performance cam EA-ED. Improved exhaust recommended.

Wade Cams-
Profile Number- 1004 or 1004-14
Power Range- Increased midrange power 2200-5500rpm suit auto

Sure Cams-
Profile Number- OXY48
Power Range- 1000-4000rpm
Comments- Daily Performer, improved low to mid range torque, increased effiencey, computer mods not necessary

What kind of KW gains at the wheels can i expect from fitting one of these cams also how much does it cost to get a cam installed???
Are any other parts needed to be purchased when one of these cams are installed also???

To be honest mate you would be better off going and looking at teh Cams thread in teh Inline Six area.

true but thats miles long.. For the overall cost the wade1004 112 is a sure deal, i havnt heard any one dissapointed with the improvements from this cam. It goes from 2200 5500 thats a wide range, and its what im running and ive been happy with it. I have tried a small crow cam , it was pos never again. the sure cam not sure either.. whats the price difference

With the wade cam you need to fit shims under the lifters.. other than that all is good

How much for the 1004 Wade cam? I'd prefer more lower end though...

its like 120 bucks, it doesnt kill bottem end like you think it would though

Sounds good. Are they difficult/expensive to install? Do you need anything else? I might bump a cam higher up on the list :s5

The 1004-14 has a smoother idle, what's the difference in performance with the 1004-12?
