Well, i have a ED XR8 Sprint 5 speed, factory except full exhaust and k&n filter.
i would like to fit a E303 cam (as i have GT40 heads, bigger throttle body/maf/injectors etc. from factory) however i'm worried that the EEC-IV will spack it. Anyone have any ideas?
My mum's EL GT 5-speed that has the factory EEC-IV and it doesnt like the E303 Cam at low revs at all (complete pig under 1500rpm and sometimes stalls - however the power gain seems worth it)
Our Sprint/200KW engines are a very similar build to the 93-95 Mustang Cobra engines in the States. Apparently the Crane 2031 was developed by Crane for these motors. However both the E cam and the 2031 were designed with US emissions laws in mind, which we don't have to worry about.
Not saying that the 2031 is the best, but I think it is computer friendly and some of the others here have used it with great reasults
Cheers

Thought it was time to try a turbo for a change :)
The E303 is not desidned for 1:7 rockers which a Sprint has.
The 2031 is designed for 1:7's..power at lower rpm..
*216 / 220 @ 50.. 513 / 529 lift 1:7 rocker ratio..
The 2040 IS a E303 copy 220 / 220 498 / 498 lift.. or same cam..
The *dual pattern cams seem to have a broader power curve and is somewhat, what a custom cam would be only heaps cheaper... I.M.O... I can't find a 2041 cam ???

The 2031 is not a compromise. It delivers more power than the E303 and is much more computer friendly. I personally went for a custom grind with around 550th lift and 220 duration on both intake and exhaust but it was quite a bit more expensive compared with the off the shelf 2031 and it suited my combo better. BTW, have you got your new lifters yet, or have you found a good price on them, because ford wanted over $800 for the set.
