Hi everyone,

Yesterday I was driving normally and heard a really loud bang, like a tire popping or an explosion. I pulled over and noticed this hose on my engine block had popped loose.

There was no water or oil, so I don't know what the hose is for, but I put it back in and managed to drive without any problems since...

I have attached a picture of it, so if anyone knows what it is then please let me know. The car is a 1994 ED Falcon.

PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) hose. Buy a new PCV valve (or try cleaning it) and also but a gasket (it will fall apart when you replace the valve).
