my te 250 has a 4 barrel redline manifold 2barrel spacer plate and a 2 barrel motocraft carbie.my prob is i cant fit a air cleaner under the bonnet and i dont want to cut a hole.any tips i had thought of running a late model airbox with panel filter on top of the carbie?

i checked about one inch clearence to the bonnet.the motocraft carbie is a very tall too barrel carb?

Can you jack the back of the bonnet up with spacers and longer bolts?
