Hi all,

I have an ED Falcon which was running perfectly fine on LPG but recently broke down and become un-drivable.

If I cold start the engine, it will usually start and idle perfectly well. I can rev it pretty normally too. If I put it into gear, even without movement... it will stall within a minute and be nearly impossible to start until it has been left for awhile.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? It sounds electrical but I don't know much more than that...

It's a dual fuel system but has refused to run on Petrol for over a year, I never bothered to fix it as LPG is cheaper. I have been keeping it serviced...

Providing that ALL your spark plugs and leads are ok, sounds like it's either the coil or the distributor module. Make the car stall and then crank it and test for spark at one of the leads. If you have no other means of testing to check the PIP/SPOUT signals at the module, try to borrow a known good coil and fit it, then re-check for spark. If ok, change the coil, if still no spark go for the dist. module. cheers
