Nah, you won't need to change the computer unless you use the BBM. EECIV will run an EF/AU motor just fine. As to the EF motor - stock I'd say $700, Tickford maybe $1000. Bearing in mind these are WA prices and usually different things are worth different amounts between States.

Thanks for the prices. I priced a few engines around this area too but ended up going for the option to slap in a crow stage 2 cam, vernier timing kit and am getting the rings done at the same time. My head has been tested and no valves were bent and the pistons are still good too.. Can't wait to get the baby back on the road.
