Okay after writing off my ED my parents are definately not going to let me have another newish car without full comp and full comp will be too expensive.
So now i have decided to buy either an XD or an XF or maybe that ute in the for sale section.
If i buy an XF i want to turbo it eventually, i may have found a turbo XF for around $3000 already. Would Carby or efi be better suited.
If i get an XD its either getting a big loud 351 on gas. or a 6 banger with a turbo after a nice rebuild.
Now with 3rd party do you have to notify insurance companies about modifications or not??

EFI will be better for Turbo for many reasons, including the ability to run an intercooler and tuning. Also it looks neater. The carby kits use a water methonol bottle for cooling a usually locate 1 or 2 carbs where the battery was.

If you don't notify your insurance company and you make a claim, they will look for any reason not to pay, such as a nice bit turbo under the bonnet.

XAXEXF is correct about the turbo'n, however theres nothing wrong with water-methanol, they use that in certain supercharger kits, and actually runs cleaner then the petrol, it doesn't have such a high carbon bi-product. its also got a nice octane rating too. They also use it in Jet engines for the same function -cooling.

About the choose of car, i would go with the 351, but thats me.
