hey just out of intrest if you have a blocked cat this would effect fuel econemy no? if so if you gutted your cat this would allow more exhausts to flow out ... besides being bad for the ozone what if ne are the down sides to this ???

There is no downside to hollowing our your cat, except when you get pulled over one day and the coppers or the department of transport tap your cat converter and find it's hollowed out they'll whack you with a few hundred dollar fine and a defect notice

But apart from that, your exhaust may smell a bit funny...

A few hundred $ fine for no cat? I think you'll find its more like a few thousand, last time I heard andything between $5000-$10000
