cats

hey everyone,

just wondering (not that i am actually going to get it done, just curious) from a performance veiw, which would give you more power?

getting a hiflow cat or getting the cat knocked out?

i know taking the cat out is illegal and like i said i am NOT going to be doing this, just curious

thanks

Just read another extensive thread on here, and the basic jist is, even a normal cat is not very restrictive, but a highflow cat has very little restriction (but not worth it for the extra money). Getting the cat drilled out is really bad.. you could potentially make people very sick, as well as the damage it does to the enviroment. You wont get much more airflow with it drilled out, and you do need _some_ backpressure anyway (you will get less low end grunt if the system is too free flowing, apparently)

I'm not sure how the exhaust note will be affected, but it would probably make it a bit louder..

Drilled out cats are suppose to be worse, in terms of power,

Also, nice fines for drilled out cats...

just a thought.

MagnaFlow cats are meant to be some of the best on the market at the moment. Big inlet and straight-thru outlet.

Yes, giving the cat a quick broomstick-ing isnt very good on the pocket if caught!
