What bought this on?

To tell you teh truth, i have no idea where it is either I'm guessing it's between the fuel tank, and fuel rail..

Re: Changing EF fuel filter

well if its the same as the EA ones, which it should be, then it's on the passenger side of the car, mounted on the chassis rail pretty much below the front passenger seat. it's only got a simple bracket that holds it to the rail, just undo the hose clamps at each end, pull off the hoses and disconnect the mounting bracket. When you replace the filter just make sure you point the FLOW arrow to the front of the car...and torque the hose clamps up to FT! (F*ckin Tight!)

Re: Changing EF fuel filter

ahhhh easy as just did mine two weeks ago:

firstly open the boot and remove the boot carpet to get to the fuel pump seal.
Then take off the seal with the 6 or so screws it should slide off if not then wedge it off with a screwdriver. Then disconnect the fuel pump sender llittle clip near fuel hose. then start the car until it stalls. Ok now you have released the pressure in the system so u dont get fuel all over urself. Dont forget to reconnect the clip on the fuel pump. Now you will need a 14mm spanner and just undo the thread of the engine side of the filter and remove the line then do the other side carefully pull the lines away then slide out the filter put in the new one screw it up and ur all done

Re: Changing EF fuel filter

doug ea-ed hose hose clamps
ef has screw in threads and make sure u hold the filter hard against the line as u do up the nut as it wont seal properly otherwise

Re: Changing EF fuel filter

Make sure you relieve pressure in the fuel lines; copping a face full of petrol isn't that fun.

Re: Changing EF fuel filter

Yep, im wanting to change the filter as its coming up on 200,000 - so all filters bar my air one will be getting changed over.

Sounds like ill just let the mechanic go to the trouble of doing it for me!
