Hey all,

I'm heading down to Brisbane in early September to the Auto Salon & looking at taking my AU XR6 to the next stage. Most people I have talked to recommend a 'Chip & Cam' package for the next upgrade. I currently have a 2.5inch zaust, extractors, k&n & SS Induction Kit (Next Week).

So im not after any serious power such as a blower, but just something more to beat those rice eaters & 8's around town.

Anyone got any recommendations of a place in Brisbane/Queensland to take it to? and is the 'Chip & Cam' the way to g0?

Try ChipTorque on the Gold Coast or one of its dealers in Brisbane. Possibly Bob Romano. I'm sue there's heaps of places in Brisbane that could do the job for you. It's just I don't live in Brisbane so I can't realy recomend anyone else. There's heaps of guys on the forum from Brissy.

I've got the chip & cam package from ChipTorque in my ED auto. It was a 26rwkw increase from what I had (extractors, 2.5" exhaust, high flow cat).

The mechanic I use in Bris is Paul Geary (07) 3808 3455 (Slacks Creek), excellant mechanic and he doesn't muck around. He even modified a 4WD for Lowndesy!! I'm sure he can point you in the right direction.

26 at the rears. Cost was $1700. This included port & polish of the head, and a few other bits and pieces replaced (spark plugs & leads, dist cap, rocker gasket).
