Climate Control NL Fairlane

Has anyone had a problem with their climate control where it has a mind of it's own? Even when I set it manually to recircle/face/16degrees (as an example) it will cycle from face to demist to feet and from recircle to fresh.

I tried the self test feature and got no fault. My mechanic doesn't know either. Thought I would check here for a simple solution before going to Ford.

Appreciated in advance.

Matt

It's only a guess but there is one vacuum servo that operates the redirectional flap/vavle. and must cycle to get into positon. hence going through the motions.

My mums NA Fairlane defults to the demist possition when the engine is stoped.
