Hey all i decided to see if any error codes are present in the ECU. I got an EL falcon I6. I connect the STI and ground pins, negative to pin 5 on top row, and positive to the last pin (right) on bottom row. This was stated in the manual, but on fordmods.com it shows that negative should be connected to the second pin on the bottom row? which is right?

Anyway i did it as shown in the manual and I got code 133!

whats that? it doesnt show it in the book!

ok got it upstream heated oxygen sensor circuit slow response bank number 1.

For an eccv the code translates to...

Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit Slow Response - Bank No. 1

For an eec-iv it translates to....

EGR Valve 2 voltage high ( this is per Bosch codes for Ford ECUs )

yeah thankis for that! my car seems sluggish lately, can a oxygen sensor fault cause this?

My exhuast system was replaced not long ago, cat blocked, mufflers had holes in them. So maybe this fault code could of been in the ECU since then or no?

im going to do a full test tomorrow, but it wouldnt hurt telling you my syptoms tho. I took spark plugs out, they were a light colour on the tip, matched colour up, seems to be running lean. I have starting problems sometimes as well. Lack of power.

So oxygen sensor everyone? :)
