You're not really missing much. Mine only fits small maccas style coffee cups (without the lid) and then you have to drive like a grandma so as to avoid genital scorching.
I hate it that my ED doesn't have any place to sit the cups! If it's a bottle, I can handle that, but cups, there just isn't anywhere unless you put it on the centre console compartment and put things around it to maintain it's balance!

You could always get one of those wanky cup-holders that attach to the air con!!
