i have a 87 for crown vic wagon, classic i know, it has the 5.0 302 Efi, i want to add a cold air intake to this, the stock air intake get very little air to the engine, i was wondering if i could use the mustang intake for the same engine the 5.0 if that would work? any help would be greatly appreciated

no, it won't fit because the intake on your crown vic is on the right side of the engine bay while the intake on the mustang is on the left side.

any suggestions on how to install one, or does it have to be completly custom?

you can install a Universal cold intake kit. cost 50$-250$

if anyone knows the layout of the engine, any of you guys know any possible routing options, i do not want to have it in the wheel well due to low pressure it will not receive proper air flow, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

From the pictures I've seen of the older crown vic engine bay, it looks pretty simple, just get some tubing and a filter and be creative.
