Are cold air intakes worth installing or not?
I have heard good and bad things about them, some say around 8kl others say u get bugger all.
if you know anything please let me know.
What sort of car is it going on. On most e-series falcons, all you need to do is use a K&N high flow panel air filter and a EL XR8 or AU XR8 snorkle available from ford for about $30.
Its a AuII XR8 with custom 3" exhuast, its running around 215 kl,
tuned extractors, performance cats, unichip are all ready to go and possibly the K&N cold air intake if i can find out if it is worth putting on

My Eb has the cold air snorkle, I just have to get the K&N panel air filter. Did you find much of a difference?
The air filter seemed to allow it to rev a bit quicker. I think a realistic gain would only be 1-2kw, but it is much better for your engine, and it will last forever.
