Howdy folks,

Where might I find on the internet the compliance code information for my EL? I have tried to google with " ford compliance code" but no joy. I am just wishing to confirm what the codes are that are printed on my plate.

Compliance Code??? Do you mean the identification code (date made, options etc) or the compliance plate which lists ADR (Australian Design Rules) that it complies with. If the latter search under Australian Design Rules and/or Australian Motor Vehicle Certification Board.

Oops yeh, I mean the Vehicle Identification Plate which is mounted on the bulkhead and has the engine code, trim code, sido etc etc...

I have looked but still not found anything yet.

I beleive myford has the info. try Ford.com and have a look for the My Ford section. its sort of an online Log Book for your car. My EB was listed when I put the Vin Number in. Everything matched up fine.

i tryed on my XF as i have no VIN plate and only chassis/engine numbers. car is too old to keep records so if anyone knows any other places where i could type these numbers in to find out some info (maybe even my VIN) on my car i would appreciate it.
if i rang up Ford and gave them the number i have do you think they could go through the systems and find out what my VIN is and what other options my car had or is it too old and would it cost me to do?
