Hey Guys,

My car is shaking again...the engine is like jumping to and fro like crazy...

i got it fixed like 6 months ago replacing air filter and other stuff...

its shaking again and when i took it to the mechanic; he said that it could be the head gasket about to go....

he suggested that i use a headgasket stop leak or something....

so i used it; and it alleiviated the shaking but not completely...

it struggles sometimes when running....

what should i do?

hmmm....

just took car out for a drive and it seems to be back to normal....

im just a bit paranoid i guess.

How do your engine mounts look? You'll probablyneed to get under the car to check them out.

They will shake your car if they are stuffed

mount a xy gt shaker on your motor and cut a hole in your bonnet...... should look tough....

but seriously .... i would listen to the mechanics.

if you haven't replaced you air or fuel filter in the last 6 months, you might want to check the condition of them. I replace the fuel filter every 10,000 km, and check the condition of the air filter every 5,000 ks. If it's grey, you can sometimes get a bit more life out of it by using compressed air (tyre pump at servo) and give it a good blast (from the meshed side). Makes a small difference, but helps it idle better if you keep it clean. But at about $15-$20 new....

yeah the air and fuel filter have been replaced...

in the summer....

i mean everything is running smooth atm...the stop leak did its job i guess...

still sorta shaky when idle i guess.

mine was shaking when i bought it, so when i took it to the mechanic to get it checked out, he tuned the timing etc, and the shake stopped.

Ok....there is no shaking now...replaced leads, spark plugs, oil etc...

but now there is another problem....after a long drive, and when i turned off the car....coolant went steaming out of the overflow thingy...

there is plenty of coolant in there so what must be happening?
