Hi guys,
i have got a few qs about my cooling system in my ed facon. i have noticed that the cooling light (or what i think is the cooling light. little bottle with fan in it) coming on regularly and i noticed the plastic tank is empty. i have no idea what coolant is in there would it be alright to top it up with some quality coolant that i buy, or should i flush it. Does anybody know of any online tutorials (i have checked fordtech.com) of how to do this preferably without removing radiator etc. btw i am poor and cant really afford a mechanic and i know what bad cooling systems can do to head gaskets. Don't worry about flushing it at the moment... just top it up with any standard coolant sooner rather than later. After you've done that go looking for the leak. I assume there is a leak and this isn't a case of long term non-maintenance. Find the leak (start with checking all hoses and clamps), fix it and then flush if you like. Doesn't cost much for coolant. Should be able to drain sufficiently via bottom radiator hose.
