Does anyone know the cooling system capacity of an EA Falcon? ( in litres ) Just about to do a system flush and want to know how much coolant concentrate I will need to buy...

Any help appreciated

From memory it is 7.5 litres, but I'd double check that.

When I bought my Nulon coolant, it actually stated the amount for the EA and many other cars on the back label, so it would be worth double checking.

No the EA cooling system is about 12 Litres.

It's meant to be 15L, but I couldn't fit that much water in... maybe after you bleed all the air out of it good it will come up to 15L.

I've filled my car using 5 Litre bottles from dead dry to when it's full, and I used 2 1/2 bottles. The amount Jack said is for the mixing ratio's for the coolant... 7.5 Litres Nulon Coolant with 7.5 Litres of water for a 50/50 ratio as the cooling system is meant to be 15 Litres total.

What's so good about this Nulon coolant? Is is better than the Ford recommended stuff? I'm due for a coolant change soon, so I'm looking around for some decent stuff.

"Nulon" is one of the "pure coolants" you can buy for your car, instead of the watered down pre-mixed stuff. It's 100% pure so you can make your own mixture up, usually a 50/50 coolant to water ratio is the best.

You can also get Castrol pure coolant and Tectalloy but the castrol is very expensive and some people say the Tectalloy is a bit dodgy.
