Hey everyone,

I'm trying to change the plugs on my 2001 Mustang GT and was told I need to disable the fuel pump so I can remove the injector assembly and get to the coils and spark plug boots. How do you disable the fuel pump? I do not have the owners manual and can't figure it out.

shouldnt have to remove the injectors just to do plugs.

just unhook the battery if you dont want the pump to run accidentely.

Yeah man. The coil packs come off and the plugs come out without removing the fuel rail. Assuming it's a 4.6L

To disable the fuel pump, find the fuel pump rollover switch, my Taurus's is in the trunk on drivers side, strike it with a wrench, not real hard. Do this with engine running, when the switch pops, the engine will run out of fuel and die.
