Putting a breather cap in place of the oil cap, does this cause the engine to run like a dog??? Any advantage of having it there???

Re: Does anyone know???

I had two of them on my 351 ZH Fairlane.
Only got them because they looked good (chrome), engine still idled
beautifully. But I don't know exactly what their function is.

Cheers, Paul

Re: Does anyone know???

Yeah, try and keep all opening's on the engine CLOSED, because at high revs, oil goes everywhere.

Re: Does anyone know???

It's designed to operate in place of a PCV, really.
