Im just wondering coz I was given a Tickford snorkel by a friend and the only think stopping me at the moment is the hose the gos from the raditor to the thermo housing...

Oh well I just might have to go n bye 1 from ford n try it, if it dosen't fit I'll just change it to the EA style (my current 1 is rusty) n give the snorkel to some1 else... :(

Yeah they should fit. But make sure you can get the hose to fit into the radiator. They bolt up the same! just make sure before you dirty it or damage it incase you have to take the part back. But im 99% sure it will fit!

if its any help the housings have the same hose size and the later housing bolt holes do line up with the old type lower housing not sure if it will foul aswhere or not.
The d00d behind the desk at Ford here in Shepp said that it wouldn't fit, but I wasn't too convinced with him...
So yeah thanx again...

I put an EA thermostat housing on an EF 4.0l
I know it sounds stupid but the old EF one had an encounter with a power pole in its previous car and I only had the EA one from my old Engine so you should be able to put an EL on on an EA (EF and EL motors are identical apart from ignition setup)
