Did any of the e series cars come with double din.. e.g fairmonts?
What is my best way to fit it in.. I went 4 a quote today and they said $300 to fit it in..

I think this was asked just recently.

Off memory, there is no double din radio surround to suit EA-ED. I think you have to cut the standard one ya self down to the ash tray. All I can say is be carefull of where you go for car audio, I'd suggest going to a dedicated car audio shop..

My brother recently went to Port Macquarie, NSW and saw a EB Fairmont, with hepas of other kool stuff, EF door handles, Ef inlet manifold, and Lowered with 17", um but the thing it had was a Double Din deck, with an unmodified surround, must have got it from somewhere ask Ford.....

I believe you can get an ltd surround they were double din by memory.

Went to Ford today, as i'm exploring this option further myself. Most of the LTD had Double Din, or Premium Sound, they say. The woodgrain one that is featured in some LTD and GT are $800+ what the? but i asked further and found the standard colour panel was only $110 Bargin!

The LTD head unit was not quite double DIN, more like 1 and a half DIN. A double DIN won't fit, you have to cut a fair bit out. I've done it in mine and it doesn't look bad. I can get a pic of it if you want...

I know the bloke that works at Ford, and he was sure its the Double din size, either way, would love to see a pic
