I bought a second hand K&N filter for my EA, the guy who sold it claims it's for E-series Falcons, yet it's too big for my EA box.... Are the later E-Series air boxes larger, or have I been shafted?

EF on is bigger, you can modify an EF airbox to fitif you wish, I have mod doc, PM me if interested.

I thought K&N panels were meant to fit EA-AU no worries? As far as I can find there's only one size to fit all the models right up to AU.

I'm interested in changing to an EF box, can you please tell me what the advantages are to this, because you woodnt change it simply for cosmetic reasons, lol.

Nah I'm gonna fit it with an EF airbox. Anyway, I'm in NZ so the price of shipping probably wouldnt be worth it
