EA blinker trouble

i have a problem with my EA falcons left blinkers, they seem to blink really fast.
it just started on the weekend and i havent had time to check it out.

is this a common problem, as i would appreciate some info on how to fix it, i know it would be pretty easy but i dont have the time to fiddle around and try and find the problem

any info would be great

It's probably a blown indicator bulb. Turn the indicator on and check whether its the front or back one....then replace!

Could be a globe like sundeep said or it could also be a bad earth on one of the globes on the offending side.

Cheers
Matt

try this...

IF its got a flat 7 pin trailer plug (all the terminals are horizontal) turn the blinker on (the one that flashes quick) and flick down the plastic flap on the trailer plug, and release. this should fix the problem.

inside the flap of the trailer plug is 2 contacts which are meant to touch the terminals for the flashers when there is no trailer connected to make the blinkers flash at the right speed. when therse termainls become dirty and dont make contact the flasher unit senses this and ups the flash rate.

let us know how u go

Thanx Botch, ya saved me heaps of time - it worked perfectly

So if anyone has the same problem its probly best to check the trailer plug first instead of changing the bulbs
Thanx again
