I have the EA back! now fitted with the EL engine. A few minor hiccups and a couple of added costs but that is to be expected.

The conversion looks good, seems to work well, economy is better than the 3.9 and the response and overall performance is much better.

A quick round trip to Mt Compass mostly 80kph to 110kph which includes a long steep climb avg. 10l per 100kms according to the computer.

Overall cost hit $1680

Could not afford anew one! this was one from Lonsdale wreakers, less than 120,000 on the clock, the driver hit a tree sideways, (blew .13 ergo no insurance).

The work was done by their mechanic, (a Ford fanatic) they have done 3 EL's into EA's and EB's this month)

Reasonably happy with the work, very happy with the setup.
