Yeah its the idle speed controller, it basically allows the engine to ingest more air when its required ( if you switch the air con on etc ) but if they play up they can cause erratic idle, high idle, low idle, intermittent idle issues etc

On a CFI model (centre-point fuel injection looks like a carby) its actually an electric motor that pushes against the throttle to nudge it up and down.
The MPFI used air bypass as its mean to control the idle as six said.

We changed ISC and throttle body + another petrol and every thing is right idle is good now all i have to do is get it to kick down when i want it to then every thing will be allright. Any ideas on how to rectify that problem ,we just done another one and it went better than mine ,so if u can help it will fix both of them
