Hi.
Im getting my P Plate license, very soon. and im thinking about getting a little ordinary sound setup.

Now i am getting 6 inch 150 watt 3 way clarion speakers from me cousin.

I want to know, What is the Factory Standard Size Speakers In the Ford Falcon EA 1990.

The Car has only got speakers in the fron door panels, but has got holes available in the rear, if i remove the carpet cover.

So how many inches is the front, i dont want to open the door panels to check now, its too soon.

Think it was 4" in the doors. 6" in the rear shelf.

Also if u want 6" in the front you can cut the door holes bigger, or get some EL(?) doors if you want.

firstly thanks for you reply mate.

Nah i dont want to modify the door panels etc.
its not that i dont know how, i can do it myself, and also my dad has an occupation as a vechile mechanic. But i just dont think its worth the cutting and pasting for such a car.
Unless i was going to do it up more, which i am not.

If its 4 " in front, then ill just put 4 ".

I chucked some 4" pioneer speakers in the front...worked great.

But i put cheap 6x9's with spacers in the back, but it orignally had the ford factory 6" crappy ones in there.

If your just going for a small audio set up then that should work out great

This is the sound setup i have got in my mind for now.

The Front Door panel ill have 4" 2 way 100 watt coaxial speakers. (clarion, pioneer or kenwood)

The Rear ill have 6 " 150 watt 3 way coaxial speakers.

The CD Receiver will be a approx $350 Kenwood Deck. 50watt X 4


I am mainly after clarity, since i listen to heavy rock etc, but i still need a little bit of decent bass.

Therefore, is this setup good, and decent. i am not after totally good stuff.

I'd probably stick some 6x9's in the backe for that little bit more bass, hi power 6's should be alright but. Put them in and see what u think.

Door pods can be made up easily to fit on the bottom of the door. Someone here has a thread on how to do them, ended up being pretty cheap and effective through memory.
