hey guys

i currently own a 94ed falcon, its done 225000kms and has been lowered, tinted and has 15" blazers. the one problem is its an auto. i have recently been looking for ea model falcons to buy, with around the same kms or even lower and 5spd transmission... would it be worth trying to sell my car to buy an ea? i have heard they are trouble but i just really want a manual

can anyone offer me some help?

I wouldn't go backwards myself.
I'd do a manual conversion to what you have.

go the manual conversion, i had to and its the best thing i have ever done...
The EA boxes arent the best, plus the ratios are a bit shorter than EB T5's

do the convert ea boxs are ok not really the best i had a ea box in my ed i thought it was ok till i went and good a ed t5 then it was like sh*t this is like 1000 times better they just shift so smoth and have the rev brake and neutral return spring but they are so hard to find not many out there ea t5's are everywhere

mine now has XR6T and V8 internals... the ratios really suit 3.9 diff gears. before i couldnt get halfway across a small intersection if i popped the clutch before i would have to change. i wouldnt get much wheel speed at all

how much would i be looking at, roughly, to convert it to a ed 5spd? including parts and labor... my auto trans has done 225kms, would i get anything selling that?
