G'day i have a

EA Series 2 (1991)
4 Speed Automatic
Petrol / Gas

I was wondering a few things i know it is not MPI, but CFI(???is that right)
Can it be converted to MPI, and if so how much $$$ and would it make much of a difference.

Also my exhaust has a slight hole, so soon ill have to get another one.
Would like too get a 2 1/2 inch one, what should i look for and how much should i spend and would it sound ok?

Does the GAS make a difference to any of my queries?

Exhaust, if u need a catalytic converter that'll be $200 on its own. A 2.5" system with a single muffler is $180, it is very loud and you mightn't like the "drone" on the highway. You can always add another muffler or a hot dog to quieten it down but you'll be paying more.

thanks everyone for the help.

how do i know if i need a cata coverter thingy for my exhaust?
$200 and 180$ that seems cheap, so is a 2 1/2 inch too loud???? Will it sound alright on my EA?

It's not so much the size of the exhaust that will determine if it's too loud. Besides, too loud is a matter of opinion, anyway (I don't think there's any such thing as too loud!!!). What will determine the volume more is the muffler type and number that you use... With one high-flow muffler it'll be VERY loud, a turbo or super turbo muffler won't be quite as loud. If either of these options are too loud then you can add a hotdog (reduces volume, but retains deep note), a resonator (reduces volume more, but loses some of the note) or another muffler (reduces volume a lot, but note starts to lose some of it's performance growl).
