EB/D ingition key and locks

Hey guyz.

I have an EA, I was wonder if anyone knew if the EB/D ingition lock fits into it, and/or if wiring harness is the same?

Another i've seen EA/D cars with EF door handles, do they fit?

The latter models had smart lock. But they are much the same...

I was mainly wanting to know if the ignition switch key thing, you know around the steering wheel, isn't the steering lock incorporated in that, whether the ED with go in to/ on to an EA

I have been looking through my workshop manuals and as far as i can see it would work. the door locks are a piece of piss cauz they just connect via a rod. the ignition one should be ok. the main power/acc plug for the ign. barrel is the same. the only diff is that the ebII and ed had anothe 4pin plug that pluged into the smart lock. all this does is immobilises the car. it doesnt stop the key from turning. it would be worth a try. i wouls be fairly confident that it would work. also you can change the rear boot lock aswell. then you would have the one key for the lot.
