Found out an interesting thing on the weekend when a mate came around in his newly aquired EB wagon, our keys will lock each others cars but not unlock. This surprised me. I presume that all EBs (other models too maybe?) do this, why?

Falchoon, that's a characteristic of all Tibbe Door locks one falcons. My key will lock an EB, EL ED etc. But won't open it.

A dumb incident happened to me and a mate he bought his EL and after i just told him a few days ago about it, he decided to try and lock my car he did, but me friggin keys were in the car with radio on, lucky engine wasn't runnin. Had to wait like 45mins for NRMA to unlock my car. :dead: :dead: :dead:

I got told this by a friend that works for ford down here. so as a little joke on an unsespecting car yard, who leaves the keys in the ignition in the yard, we went round and wound up all the windows in the falcons and then locked the doors

i know this was a c*#nt of a thing to do but they desirved it.

I do recall a time not that long ago, when I was standing near EF_Guys car... his engine was running, and the door was closed... I had the keys to "wulos" edxr6 in my hand...

I turned towards EF_Guys door to look it, and EF Jumped and screamed like a girl!! "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

I didnt do it -... it was just fun to scare him

Lucky I wont have that problem.

a little off topic but is there anyway to get these locks into an XF all round? ie: doors, boot, ignition.

I'd love to only have one key to do everything.

ATM i have solex locks on the doors and boot, and different ign.

(V)ADXF - get hold of the ignition and door locks and spare tyre lock out of a xg ute. they will all fit i was told by my ford dealer. but i think the price for them new scared me from doing it to my xf.
