Hey guys,
While the supra is having a heart transplant, im driving an EB fairmont...with the 3.9L engine...What mods suit this engine to give it a bit more squirt? Is the intake quite choked up on them? Is putting a k&n filter on going to help anything?

k&n (or any performance filter) willyou next to nothing rwkw output...will hugely improve throttle response though....

the manifolds on e series are asthmatic to say the least so get it breathing easier by putting on some extractors and large free flowing exhaust...will give a lot more growl too...if you still want to go further from there go a lumpier cam.

Best bang for buck mod though is manual conversion though...

thanks mate, Yeah i have a filter lying around so i might chuck that on...throttle response is a bit slow on them isnt it!! Im only keeping it as a runabout for now so im not cant afford to put new headers on it...all that money has to go to the 302!! Ill see what i can do...a mate of mine may have a 2nd hand set of extractors if they'd help?
