Ok, throw around a few ideas hear people. I’ve got an EB Series II with a 6 cyl engine and I want to know what diameter/brand leads you would recommend for it. Right now its stock but keep in mind its not remaining this way for long. Also want some advice on coils, again what brand and what model within that brand for a little bit extra spark. I am really after a stronger spark here.

Now I know I’ve asked a lot already, but one other question that’s been nagging at me for a while. We all know that NGK make some of the best plugs around. What I want to know is whether its worth just getting Nickel-Alloy V-Grove plugs for my EB II, or if spending the extra money and going straight for the Platinum or Iridium 0.8mm tip plugs is really going to show me any decent improvement? Remember this is a stock engine. If you have had experience with this or know from other peoples experience then please tell me the good and bad points; cause if it’s not going to give me a decent improvement I’m not spending that much per plug!

Firstly, the platinum plugs will not give you a huge gain. The main benefit of them is their 80,000km+ life span.

With the ignition system, just get some TopGun or Eagle 9mm leads, a new distributor cap and rotor, and a new stock coil if needed. The stock ignition system, if in good condition, has plenty of spark for any application.
