eb series 2 info

hi,

i currently own a 94 model ed and would like to change to a manual car. i had a look at a car today and when i went for a drive i wasnt too impressed. i let the clutch out 1 cm and the car stalled... are they meant to be that short? also, in eb series 2's is the dash sposed to show the revs? because this didnt. i was told it was a factory 5spd but without the revs in the dash i am seriously doubting this.

the eb has 214kms and mine has 231kms. eb has 17" rims but needs new tyres, not urgently, and mine has 15" blazers with 75% tread. eb is on duel fuel, mine is just petrol. eb is not lowered or tinted, mine has had both done.
eb has factory radio/casette, mine has a cd player.

should i stick with my ed which is starting to slip or try out the ebII?

thanks guys, brad.

Re: eb series 2 info

The base GLi didn't get the cluster with the revs shown. You can easily install one from an S-Pac/XR though.

buy the eb? i think the clutch might be on its way out though... and the interior was very poor. what would be a good price for the eb you reckon?

Re: eb series 2 info

$1500 - $2000 with around 6 months rego is standard price...
Haggle down - tell him clutch is gone and interior needs work. If he is keen he will sell.

As per other post - use interior from your car and any other parts needed, then sell off the ED to recover costs - could work out pretty even for you if you do all the work yourself.........

The EB manual goes hard..........

Most parts will fit from ED to EB........

Re: eb series 2 info

hrm ok.. well he advertised the car for $4200 and i sent an email saying you get the car roadworthy apart from tyres and i will think about paying $2500. its on duel fuel, will that affect the motor?

how much would my car roughly make? you know all the specs... no pics yet

Re: eb series 2 info

not being able to see it - roughly 3500 - 4500... If in decent condition...
A good source of pricing is The Trading Post or

Cheers

Re: eb series 2 info

ok guys.. i checked out the car again and looked into it more... its seems in good nick. i told the bloke that the clutch is very short and he said you can change the length of clutch so it can be let out a bit before having to rev. is that true?

he is asking $3000 firm.

check out this site for more details on the car: http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=1978906&current_rec=6&total_rec=15&sort_type=&price_max=7500& make_id=6&model_id=17&keyword=MANUAL&state_id=7&search_distance=25
