Ford Claimed 165kw. Identical to the Holden 5.0lt of the same time although the Ford was a fraction quicker.

No offense to anyone but I have been in my mates VN SS when we raced a EB XR8. They both had exhaust systems, and the VN got in front pretty easily.
The VN is stock besides exhaust.

Bass, what transmissions did the cars have??

An EB XR8 was 150Kg heavier than a VN SS but had virtually the same acceleration (according to my Wheels mag)

Oh the Ford 302W has more low down torque than the Holden 5.0L. The Holden also revs higher to get the same power.

They were both Auto and 3 passengers in each.
VN had 3.08 diff gears.

BOF refereed to the 302 as being quicker, I just wanted to make the point that I have been in a 'real life' situation where it was definantly not quicker then the VN SS.

Im getting an EB XR8 coz i love them ,the sound,the look ect,NOT because it can beat a vn ss!!.
