EB2 4.0 automatic. New reconditioned engine.

- Cleaned injectors (ultrasonic off car)
- MAP sensor checked
- Fuel pressure regulator checked

When the car is started large amounts of black smoke are emitted from the exhaust. Engine stutters momentarily (as if flooded).

Anyone know of a fix for these symptoms?

Did the Injector place shopw you the pulse/flow graph, before and after?

Sounds like injector is bleeding while turned off??
The hose going to map in good nick? Any leaks there they run as ritch as.. Could be the diaphram in fuel regulator leaking and runing back into manifold via vac line?? Disc vacuum line and check...TPS set too high or not working correctly should be under 1v koeo closed throttle..hth..

Sounds rich, I suggest O2 sensor or TPS myself.
Mine also does tihs, just too lazy to find out why =)

Just pass it off as a tuff as nails I6 that needs plenty of fuel to start, an excuse is better than solving it, hehe

I know my O2 is cactus and my injectors arent too great, but my 6 doesnt smoke on start-up, so i cant see why yours would... So the TPS may be incorrectly installed or your fuel pressure is to great?
