94 ED 4ltr. 140000 k 1 owner (me) drives well perhps a bit heavy on fuel but......

when idling stall for no apparent reason maybe at lights in traffic etc but never cuts out when driving at any speed.

Fuel pump and filter replaced 6 months ago plugs, leads and dist cap 2 years (average 20k per annum) full head service same time.

Sometime idles rough and when starting motor flares and then settles to idle.

Been on computer 6 months ago and nothing found.

How can I stop this happening

Could be the ISC, try cleaning it out: search the threads for how, as it has been asked before.

Check all vacuum line esp to map and also suspect map senser as well as iac.Could be idling too low.Check leads, plugs and cap..
The flairing could be due to idle set too low and iac is over compensating...

remember to check the base idle as well, if its to low the ISC wont be able to save it from stalling anyway
