ED boot to fit EA

As the title describes. I bought a excellent condition boot, only problem was its an ED boot, which at the time i did not realise the different catches. It looks to me as if the ED boot has the electronic magnet release and interior boot light switch in the catch module on the boot peice. I'm thinking is it possible to fit the boot with the ED catch 'D' shaped thing to the car body by drilling teo holes horizontally unlike the EA catch, two bars and light switch in the middle with securing holes vertically. If anyone knows what im going on about, ideas or people who have done this before, would be good to hear from you.

Re: ED boot to fit EA

The factory manual says they have the same boot lid. Only the long wheel base fairlane/LTD differs.
