Can anyone tell me what the difference is between an EA clock and a ED clock if any?

I don't need a trip computer, I just don't want to have to use the CD clock. I have been offered a clock out of a EA and I know it works but should I buy one out of a ED?

i think the ED clock uses a different connector. I just installed an ED clock in my ED and the connector that fitted the clock was the black one clipped onto the back of the plactic part of the dash where the clock goes.

My brother has a series 1 EB and he has a different clock ,looks the same from the front ,but uses a different connector , a larger white one that my ED dosent have.
