General TechHave a question that is not covered by one of the other categories? This is the forum for all other items not specifically covered in other categories.
Ok folks Im rather conflicted.. Im in need of a new inlet manifold.
I currently have an Edelbrock Performer 5.0L which has unfortunately cracked inbetween the runners.
I can either simply buy a new upper plenum, or a Victor RPM upper plenum or simply toss the whole lot & buy a Trickflow assembly....
Anyone had the pleasure of running a trickflow or know abit about em?? Do they outflow the Edelbrock???
Cheers thanx for your help...
Brett

i can't tell you anything about the other, but my old man runs Edelbrock's on his EB XR8. Been more than happy with them, but i am unsure as to how they fair up against them. probably have been no help to you! but anyway....
How badly cracked is the Edelbrock? Can't be welded??
With 347 Either Track heat or Edelbrock RPM, RPM's can atleast be ported inside where the plenum is. There's a cover that can come off, iff you want to the runners can be shortened inside and giving bigger plenum. But only iff you are happy with torque, making them shorter wiil give more top end but less bottom end..

I have the TFS street intake and I am very happy with its performance.Lovely howl at full throttle too!
Is a bit of a bitch to fit as it will interfer with the coolant temp sensor and the fuel rails, yiu need to get the 3/8 spacer to get it to clear them.
Does weigh quite a bit.

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
The track heat fits without spacer.Need to bend a few things. Mainly pipe that holds coolant senser bend the bend alittle more to bring it forward, TFS higher flowing and latter tech good for strockers, modded mills.

My mates dad has a ED XR8 sprint with 347 stroker and TFS alloy heads and TFS inlet manifold E303 cam and it hammers, go the TFS as they have a good rep and there is 2 different upper halves depending on where you want your power
