I pulled out my computer today only to find it stamped with
EEC-IV 4DSA ETV-557
I thought that the EF's had an EEC-V. So why does my 96 EFII GLi have an EEC-IV in it. I am now confused. The only reason i pulled the comp out is so that i could go to the wreckers to buy a manual conversion kit (I wanted to make sure that the comp that they gave me was a manual one. or at least different from the comp that i have.)
Are the pinouts different from EEC-IV to EEC-V? Were some EF's released with EEC-IV? Is my car some freak accident? Or are the EF's supposed to come with EEC-IV?
If i buy the manual conversion kit with a EEC-V will there be any wiring probs? Any input is helpful.
