I'm going straight gas on the 5L in my EF. Does anyone know if i need to run catalytic convertors?

I believe you can only remove the cat if you have completely removed the fuel system.

I think that's right, although you better check with the local road authority, hefty fine if you're wrong.

Let us know how you go with this conversion, I'm very interested.

Particulary about the backfire problems that used to occur when starting the car on straight gas. Most systems start on petrol and change to gas a couple of seconds after starting to prevent this problem.

Thanks, i'll try and find out, havn't had much sucess with getting answers from them so-far though. You go to the effort of making sure that everything your doing is legal, and the bastards won't even return a phone call. Frustrating.
