My cruise control recently crapped out. It was getting more and more difficult to set, finally had to resort to pressing the aet button a number of times prior to having the thing setting.

A couple of days ago, the thing finally completely carked it. The on/off buttons work, but the set on the RHS side of the wheel boss doesn't. Any ideas about causes and fixes?

There was a post by AussiBlue not too long ago with instructions for cleaning the contacts of the buttons. That would probably be the solution.

Like the guys say sounds like the contacts. Check also if you still have rear brake lights before ripping the steering wheel down, yes and it'll be the button contacts. No brake lights and it's likely just the brake pedal switch which is also the CC cut out.

Just dont try buying the switches from Ford. I have a problem with the +set switch not working so decided to ring up and get a price. They are $190. I think I will just use -set to set the cruise. Does anyone know if you can get these from Repco etc???
