how do i remove the cruise control buttons on my steering wheel to try and stop the annoying rattle, i might try stretching the spring or any other ideas ? thanx

On the sides on the back of the steering wheel (the plastic) there are to 10mm bolts. (under plastic caps)

undo those, you can remove your airbag, then you will see your cruise control buttons infront of you and u will be able to unscrew them (2 phillip head screws) each side.

thanx fusion, with the battery disconnected is it still safe to remove the airbag? i mean any probs once i hook the batt backup ?

the airbag system has backup power in the event of the battery being crushed in a head on. there is an amount of time that the thing should be allowed to discharge for, unless you wish to be decapitated.
