Just a query on the Dash Diagnostics. I've been using it to determine whether my speedo is accurate after fitting some new dials, and it is pretty darn close (within acceptable limits anyway). However, I still think it may be wrong.

So, can someone please explain to me how the Dash Diagnostics gets its information? I.e. - how does it work out the speed, as opposed to how the dash works it out, or do they both get their readings from the same place?

Id just like to find out if the Dash Diagnostic mode is reliable enough to depend on.

I thought it was all the same just in digital format and not trying to guess where the needle is pointing, I guess handy to know your needle is pointed correctly but not so handy if the speedo was actually wrong.
